Summer Camp 2008

 

Junior China Study Program

(can register on weekly basis)

Registration Form (报名表)

Dates :   June 16 – July 31, 2008 (六月16日至七月31 日)

Time:    Mon – Thur 2:00-5:00pm or 2:00-6:00pm (周一至周四下午2点至6点)

Eligibility: children 5-10 years of age who understand and speak basic level Mandarin; (招收五岁至十岁具备普通话基本听说能力儿童)

Teacher-Student Ratio: maximum 8 children with 3-4teachers; (只收八名学生;由三名老师同时任教)

Goals: Improve children’s understanding of China and Chinese culture. Improve children’s ability to understand, speak, read and write Chinese.  Make their summer relaxing and rewarding.(让儿童在轻松活泼的活动周增强普通话听说读写能力,增加对中华文化的兴趣和理解)

Sample themes: In each of the 6 weeks, we will introduce one aspect of China and Chinese culture to children through fun activities. Samples themes include unique animals and plants living in China; the many types of people living in China; how silk worms grow and make silk and what was the Silk Road; communicating with children in China to learn about what they do and like; studying Chinese communities in NYC, interacting with people in these communities to learn why they came to NYC and how they make a living here.

Tuition (学费):  2:00-5:00pm $180 per week(每周); 2:00-6:00pm $220 per week(每周)

Registration: starting now till the remaining 6 spots filled; can register on weekly basis(即日起报名至剩余六个名额报满;可报单周或数周课程)
