Children's Chinese Book Garden

What We Do

We’re here for children and parents who want to (a) have occasional exposure to Chinese language and culture, (b) begin systematic learning of Mandarin Chinese and exposure to Chinese culture, or (c) improve Mandarin proficiency and enrich cultural experiences.  

(1) We offer Mandarin classes for 5-10 year old children. We also opeate a small summer camp from mid June to mid August each year.

(2) We help organize or host small parties with Chinese culture themes (e.g., Chinese cooking, Chinese games, and Chinese costume shows)

 (3) Hearing or reading interesting books in Chinese greatly facilitates language learning. Based on your readers' age, Chinese levels and interests, we help you select and order books.  You can also come to read and borrow from our 2,000 types of selected children's books in Chinese.  

Where We Are

We are conveniently located in midtown Manhattan (32nd street close to 5th Ave), within a few mintues of walking distance to the following train and bus stations: Penn Station, PATH train, subway N, R, Q, W, B, D, F, V, 6, and many bus lines (e.g., M1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 16, 34).
